To celebrate World
Quality Week – 2025, the Quality Forum
organised 2 events based on the theme given by CQI
(Chartered Quality Institute – UK) Quality:
Think Differently.
The first was a webinar on 12th November titled – Effective Data Analysis, countering the Outlier effect. This was delivered by Mr. Bhattacharya, Secretary, Quality Forum. and attended by 14 participants. This webinar aimed to introduce ‘Robust Statistics’ and how to use it when analysing data which was illustrated with examples. The offline programme was organised on 16th November, Sunday at Hotel Suba International in Mumbai. Amongst the audience were the members of the Quality Forum and several invitees numbering a total of 40. The programme stared with an Introduction to the Quality Forum and World Quality Week by Mr. Shivkumar Vishwanathan – Jt Secretary, Quality Forum. Next were 2 talks delivered by the guest speakers for the day – Ms Nilanjana Basu from Blue Flame Consulting and Mr. Kantesh Shanbhag from Trop Labs. Ms Basu gave a delightful talk on Human Errors during operations, how they are identified and reduced with several examples from the Pharmaceutical Industry. Mr. Kantesh spoke on the idea of ‘Data as the new Oil’ and gave insights on how data is classified, managed and can be analysed using AI tools. He also gave several industry examples and gave a peek into the future of how data will be used and managed. The audience got involved with several questions for both speakers. The event ended with a vote of thanks followed by dinner. The event was well appreciated by all the attendees.
