WORLD QUALITY DAY - REPORT

Quality Forum
celebrated the World
Quality Day on 14 November 2019,
through a Seminar focused on the theme
‘100 years of
Quality’.
There
were two prominent speakers on this
occasion. Mr.
Suresh Lulla, Founder
& Managing Trustee, Qimpro Foundation; and
Founder & Mentor, Qimpro Consultants Pvt
Ltd., Mumbai
spoke
on
“Global History of
Quality”.

Indofil Ltd., & Chairman, Quality
Forum, Mumbai
spoke
on
“Relevance of Quality
Management in our daily life”.
Release of QF Monograph on “Estimation of Uncertainty in Engineering and Chemical Measurements - A Simplified Approach” by Mr. B. Banerjee, the only living student of Prof. P.C. Mahalanobis, the father of Statistics in India. Manoj Karkhanis, Jt. Secretary welcomed the Speakers, members and invitees and briefed them about the significance of the World Quality Day. He also introduced the speakers and conducted the seminar. N.K. Bhattacharyya proposed a vote of thanks to all concerned. Besides Quality Forum members, a number of Quality professionals graced this occasion as invitees. OCT 28 to Nov 1, 2019Dr.

member was honored with long service award for
serving 10 years in ISO TC 45 on Rubber &
Rubber Products as Technical. The award
was given by the Chairman of ISO TC 45 during
its 67th meeting held in Berlin, Germany from
28th Oct to 1st Nov 2019 November 08, 2019B.
Bhattacharya, Hon. Secretary, Quality Forum
conducted a half-day seminar on “Reducing Cost
of Poor Quality (COPQ) through effective
measurement in the manufacturing industry – A
Practical Approach”. The seminar was
conducted jointly by Quality Forum and GVS
Cibatech Pvt. Ltd. in the Conference Room of GVS
Cibatech at Bhandup, Mumbai. The objective
of the seminar was to sensitize the senior
management of manufacturing industry to initiate
action to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ)
through an effective measurement management
system. There were seven participants from
industry who attended by invitation, in addition
to five other interested participants. |
